SURROUNDINGS
The Cerroni’s farm is just 10 km from the beaches of Cecina Mare, and not much further from the beach resorts of Rosignano, Quercianella, Castiglioncello, Marina di Bibbona, and Marina di Castagneto.
The art cities of Pisa, Florence, Volterra, Siena, Livorno, and Lucca, as well as important archaeological sites such as Populonia and Baratti are all within easy visiting distance.
Even closer are the many little villages nestling in the hills, which are often the site of interesting cultural events.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy walks in the woods around the farm, go on the bike and mountain bike trails, and in the area, there are plenty of opportunities to play tennis, go riding, or spend a day out at the Venturina or Saturnia health spas.
Lovers of good food and wine can travel the Wine Route and visit the wineries producing DOC Montescudaio, Bolgheri and Val di Cornia wines.
There are also many restaurants and eateries in the area in which to enjoy traditional, local cuisine.

MONTESCUDAIO
Montescudaio is an historic village where time seems to have stood still. Typical, mediaeval houses forming tiny streets make this village a treasure just waiting to be discovered, and where you can also enjoy some excellent wine. The village is in fact home to the Consortium of Montescudaio DOC wine growers, a variety that you can enjoy perhaps with bread, which is an absolute local delicacy. Montescudaio is one of the Club dei Borghi più belli d’Italia an association of Italy’s most beautiful villages, as well as being a member of the Associazione Città dell’Olio e del Pane (Bread and Oil Town Association).
SASSETTA TERME SPA
The waters at the Sassetta health spa has energy-giving, beneficial properties and come from unspoiled natural surroundings.
The spa waters are rich in calcium, sulphates, precious minerals and trace elements that are used to treat respiratory, skin and musculoskeletal problems.
The warmer pool, the calidarium has a temperature of 38° C, the tepidarium is 36° C and the frigidarium is 24° C.
VENTURINA TERME SPA
An ancient natural hot spring, where the water is 36° C, in the green setting of a splendid pine wood with all of the natural scents of Tuscany.
The spa at Venturina, thanks to the beneficial effects of its waters and steam treatments has properties that are recommended for treating various problems: respiratory, ears, nose and throat, rheumatism, digestive tract, liver and bile duct, skin and peripheral vascular problems.
CASCIANA TERME SPA
The temperature of the spring waters at Casciana Terme is 35.7° C. The particular characteristic bicarbonate-sulphate-calcium qualities of the waters at Casciana are particularly recommended to treat problems with circulation, uricemia, rheumatism and arthrosis, high cholesterol, rhinitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis and all gynaecological problems.
